Bill Bray has designed and managed the renovation of over 100 homes and apartments for people with physical and mental challenges. He has a bachelor's degree in psychology, a master’s degree in human resources and labor relations, and has worked with individuals with physical as well as mental disabilities for 39 years. In 2005 Bill was honored as Humanitarian of the Year by the Summit County National Alliance of the Mentally Ill for his work in renovating properties to serve individuals with severe mental illness. Bill received his CAPS certification in 2012. Bill is the Chief Operating Officer for North Coast Community Homes and has been with them for 27 years. Bill has joined Adaptive Living Partners in a consultant capacity. Maria Sutter is a disability consultant with an invaluable combination of insight from personal experience, extensive professional training, and years of professional experience. As a woman with a disability and a wheelchair user she has a deep comprehension of the needs and desires of those with impairments, while her architectural background helps her develop solutions to meet those needs. Maria received her undergraduate degree in architecture from the University of Cincinnati and worked in the field for 10 years. As an architectural designer, her responsibilities included the incorporation of guidelines mandated by the Americans with Disabilities Act. Currently, she is completing her graduate studies at John Carroll University in Cleveland, focusing on disability studies. This academic background has refined Maria's understanding about past and present cultural attitudes and trends related to people with disabilities. Most importantly, Her own “nothing will stop me” perspective guarantees she will thoughtfully recommend solutions that strive to maintain independence without compromising dignity. Maria brings to Adaptive Living Partners her wealth of personal experience and professional training.
